At Last @ Tatum Jones...hehehe

Salam. When I was bored at home (KL home) I just kept playing with the remote control (tukar2 station tv macam tak hengat la). Suddenly I came across the America’s Got Talent show. I donno what season it was. So I decided to stay on the station for a while (heheh. after pressing the buttons like a maniac..) It was the finale. The first contestant was a group called At Last. They were a singing group bringing along the hiphopapella genre. It is hip hop + acapella. U know that kind of making music beats using ur own mouth. Huhuhu.I know that very well since my youngest brother loooves to do that. N that really pissed me off coz he creates rain every time he did that .

But when I saw At Last performance for the first time, I eventually fell in love. Huhuh. They are Asians and their voice is superb. I like the harmony they create in their music. I really adore n respect them for what they are doing. They are the minorities. U know being an Asian in America, u need to struggle to outshine urself. N they kept trying hard to make through all the circumstances to introduce their music to the world. That’s the spirit we want. Trying ur best in everything (Of course in good things, not crime). I quote a sentence from ‘Dance of the Dragon’ film: It is not about winning. It’s about what u become when u try.

This is a brief information about them. I got it from You Tube.
HISTORY:

Formed by actress Ming Na, the group At Last labels their style of music hiphopapella - a blend of some hip hip and R&B with some beatboxing. The group originally consisted of 5 people but on their members eventually left. The group still went around the country looking to share their talent with people.

America's Got Talent was quite possibly the group's most successful way to get themselves exposed nationally. So popular was their appearance that they decided to re-release their album Slow Down. You can still buy their music from their official website : http://www.atlastmusic.com/home.html

AFTER AMERICA'S GOT TALENT:
Though the group was able to reach some success appearing on America's Got Talent, many did not know what happened to them afterwards. Well here's the scoop:

One of the members, DJ Say, decided to leave At Last and decided to take his musical career solo. After he left, the remaining members, Hans, Mike and Justin have decided to form a new group called "Tatum Jones" in honor of their great friend that passed away. At Last's myspace went defunct.

CURRENTLY:
Tatum Jones has an EP out called "The Love Movement" which features brand new songs with a very similar style of music to At Last's. DJ Say has been doing covers of some popular songs.

Ok Enjoy the video. I donno y but I really like them. Hehehe. N for my story…this is part 4 and part 5 of ‘Dialah Dhiyaku’. See u again guys. Assalamualaikum.

Bahagian 4

Rasa geram pula melihat dia sewenang-wenang ‘merampas’ kertasku. Tangannya pantas menyambar segala macam benda berdasarkan senarai. Mulutnya juga laju berbunyi seiring dengan tangannya.

“Ish! Ish! Benda senang macam ni pun tak tahu ke? Ni mesti jarang datang ke pasar. Hai..dah besar panjang macam ni pun tak reti-reti lagi?”

Aku mendengus pendek.

Sekejap aku menggoreng, sekejap melayan pembeli memilih makanan, sekejap menjadi tukang duit.

“Ayla?” Terhenti aku sebentar mendengar suara itu lantas kumendongak melihatnya. Alamak!
“Apa awak buat kat sini? Kenapa awak jual makanan? It’s not like you, Ayla.”
Apa yang perlu kujelaskan dulu? Terlau banyak yang ingin kukatakan.
“Safuan, I’m so sorry. A lot of things happened lately.” Aku memintal-mintal bucu apron.

Dia menghulurkan sapu tangan.

“Awak kena sabar dan berusaha. Saya tahu awak boleh buat. You’re a strong girl, Ayla.” Tersenyumku di sebalik tangisan. Dia memang sentiasa mahir mengambil hatiku.
“Bab tunang, kita tangguhkan dulu. Tak sesuai kita bangkitkan hal ni buat masa ni.
Semakin sayang aku padanya.
“Ingat Ayla. I’m always there for you.”

Semakin erat kugenggam sapu tangan yang dipinjamkannya. Terima kasih Safuan..
